Every Stitch Tells a Story Worth Carrying
Some bags are made on a factory line. Ours are made one stitch at a time, by people the world once told to stay small.
At Seaside Purses, every piece is handmade by artisans with Down syndrome makers who picked up a hook, a length of cord, a handful of shells, and decided that "impossible" was just a word other people used. The pastel pouch that fades from soft cream to ocean blue, finished with a little crochet companion swinging from its strap. The macramé net bag with its bamboo ring handles, a starfish at its heart, and pearls and shells scattered across the knots like things the tide left behind. Each one carries hours of patience, focus, and pride you can feel in your hands.
Why the sea
The seaside is where everyone is welcome. The waves don't ask who you are before they come in. We named our brand after that feeling — open, warm, and steady — because that's exactly the kind of space we want our makers to have. A place to create freely, be seen for their talent, and make something the whole world wants to carry.
More than a purse
When you wear a Seaside Purse, you're not just carrying an accessory. You're carrying proof that creativity has no limits, that fashion has room for everyone, and that the people behind the work belong at the center of the story not the margins of it.
Our makers are showing the fashion world something it keeps forgetting: that difference is not a barrier. It's a signature.
Carry the difference
Every bag sold supports the artisans who made it — their craft, their confidence, their place in an industry that's only just learning how much it's been missing.
Seaside Purses. Handmade by extraordinary people, for the people who recognize the difference.
